DESIGN YOUR BASIC BODICE FOR ELASTIC FABRICS
like shirts, blouses, jackets, etc. 
Ideal fabrics : jersey, spandex, lycra etc.
For the present pattern I will use the following measurement:
Front length 46 cm
Bust length 29 cm
Bust width 96 cm / 4 = 24 cm
Waist 86 cm / 4 = 21.5 cm
Back length 44 cm
Shoulder 12 cm
Back width 44 cm / 2= 22 cm
BACK
STEP 1
Draw a right angle on the left top corner and mark as point 1.

STEP 2
Form point 1 draw a line to the right equal to 1/10 of waist circumference 
(86x1/10= 8,6 cm) and mark it as 2.
STEP 3
From point 1 go down 1,5 cm and mark it as 3.
STEP 4
Connect points 2 with 3 with a curved line. This is the back neckline
STEP 5
From point 1 draw a vertical line equal 
to back length (44 cm) and mark as point 4.
STEP 6
From point 4 draw a line to right equal to the ¼ 
of your waist (86/4=21,5 cm) and mark that point as 5.
STEP 7
From 1, measure a point equal with the ¼ 
of your bust (96/4=24 cm) and mark that point as 6.
STEP 8
Design a horizontal line parallel to line 4-5 equal with the 1/2 
of your back measurement (44/2=22 cm) and mark 7. 
Connect points 5 to 7.
STEP 9
From point 2 draw a line to right, equal to the measurement of the shoulder 
(12 cm – 1 = 11) and mark as 8.
STEP 10
From point 8 measure down one point at a distance of 4.5 cm & mark it as 9.
NOTE : The distance from point 2 to 9 must be 12 cm (=shoulder measurement)
STEP 11
Join points 2 and 9 with a straight line.
STEP 12
From point 7 go up about 6 cm and mark it as point 10.
STEP 13
Join with a curve line points 9 to 10. 
This is the back armhole. Also joint point 7 to 10.
STEP 14
Cut all around your pattern paper.
FRONT
STEP 1
Draw a right angle on the top right and mark as 1.
STEP 2
Draw a line to left which must be equal with the ¼ of your 
bust measurements (24 cm) and mark that point as 2.
STEP 3
From point 2 go right 8 cm and mark this point as 3.
STEP 4
Form point 1 draw a vertical line equal to 1/10 
of waist circumference(8.6 cm) and mark it as 4.
STEP 5
Form point 1 again draw a line to the left equal to 1/10 
of waist circumference -1 cm 7,6 cm) and mark it as 5.
STEP 6
Connect points 4 and 5 with a curved line. 
This is the front neckline.
STEP 7
From point 2 go down 7 cm and mark it as 6.
STEP 8
Connect with a straight line points 5 with 6.
STEP 9
From points 1 and 2 draw down lines equal to bust length (= 29 cm) 
and mark points as 7 and 8 respectively. 
Connect points 7 and 8.
STEP 10
From point 2 draw down line equal to front 
length (= 46 cm) and mark point as 9.
STEP 11
From point 9 draw a line to the right equal to waist 
measurement/4 = 21,5 cm and mark it as 10.
STEP 12
Connect points 7 with 10.
STEP 13
From point 3 draw a vertical line to line 7-8 and 
parallel to line 2-7 and mark this point as 11.
STEP 14
From point 11 to go up 13 cm and mark it as 12.
STEP 15
Also go up from point 8, about 6 cm and mark as 8a. 
STEP 16
Join points 6a, 8a and 12 with a curve. This is the front armhole.
STEP 17
Cut all around your pattern paper.
THE END
As you noticed we have no darts. 
This is an easy pattern to make and very useful.
We can add any skirt type down the waist to have a dress.
With an A-line, round or semi-round skirt you will have a pretty and easy to wear dress
